I thought its important to bring this concert to the attention of rasikas. Saitejas has been performing for a few years now with this tiny instruments in his hand. He had been doing remarkably well, and yesterday's concert was no less. One usually admire the technical skills of handling such instruments and bringing out the nuances of carnatic music in such performances. However, what stood out here was his musical skill s and knowledge in addition to his ability to handle the instrument to precision. I was very impressed. There are a few youtube videos of this artist if anyone is keen to check on him. Hamsadhwani was awesome and reetigaula was sublime.

Jayan,
Coming from you, I can see that the youngster is truly talented. It's also the easiest of instruments to pack and go!

Hope he will take up an instrument which has more scope for his abilities. Or, is it not necessary, the way he sounds? I wonder how difficult it was for Srinivas when he started playing the mandolin and in making CM listeners accept his playing a foreign stringed instument so tiny...
