Kssr,
The venue is Bangalore Gayana samajA and all concerts are held only there. What is it that 10 sabhas are conducting together ?? Just curious there on what exactly 10 sabhas are doing together in this one, please do throw some light there.

Best wishes for all artists and nice line up of all artists. Keep up your good work.

The "organiser" of the event is Karnataka Fine Arts Council. The Founder Trustees are the 10 organisations. This event is a maiden Youth Festival. Others that follow under the banner may be conducted in different venues.

The objectives are much broader than just to conduct concerts. All stake holders, artists, music organisations and rasikas (in particular) should benefit. Classical music does not get the recognition it deserves outside the niche rasika community. We hope that KFAC draws attention of general public, government and other agencies the vital role that the musicians, sabhas and rasikas play in the upliftment of culture, social values, artistic outlook, general sophistication and betterment in behaviour besides achieving spiritual development, in society. It is subtle; it is tough; it is intangible and achievements like this cannot be readily quantified compared to simple calculations of rupees and paise; it will take time; but no harm trying; the group is made up of an amazing broad minded experienced persons. It is still early days. Let us see how it shapes up.

Nice!
Interesting choice for the name of the young awardees. KSSR, was the name any chance inspired by the 'kalAvantulu' of AP (the custodians of arts in AP, and if I understand correctly, like the dEvar aDiyAr of TN, they performed what is now called vilAsini nRtyam as part of ritual temple worship across AP)?
