NIce concert, high on melody. Liked the selection of ragas and compositions. enta ninne sabari with an elaborate neraval was very soothing. T K V Ramanujacharyulu in his replies and accompaniment was very good.

Great concert. The acoustics were not so bad to complain. Prashanth sang with confidence and never compromised on sowkyam( much like his guru Sri.KVN ). If only the audience were better in numbers, it would have encouraged the artists much more. TKV's smooth following, Arjun Kumar's following and accurate layam took the concert a level higher. Looking forward to hearing more of Prashanth's concerts.

IIRC TVK is based out of trichy. We dont hear him often in either chennai or bangalore .He is a very seasoned artist. I am yet to hear this disciple of immortal KVN , infact both hemmiges are in my radar.

i am an ardent KVN fan but sorry this one didn't make the mark for me.

Yes, it was A, N, S and no i haven't heard an alapane after kalpana swaras yet. Made the correction.

I was not there. But have heard a couple of his concerts.

I am an ardent KVN fan and therefore Prashant did not make the mark for me.

In a lighter vein, whenever Prashant opens his mouth wide and keeps it so for quite sometime, I am reminded of Ramananda Sagar's Hanuman who while crossing the ocean, enters the wide open mouth of some raakshasi on the way and gives her moksha!!

I hope that this young artist polishes his methods to be appealing to the audience, esp. as a student of the most polished charming musican Sri.KVN. Incidentally I was listening to one of Sri.KVN's cassettes today and what a beauty it was.
