Dear Rasikas,
A nice wholesome concert of Vidwan T.V.Sankaranarayanan with memories of the other greats Lalgudi Jayaraman, Vellore Ramabhadran and Bangalore Venkataram.
Performed during Ramanavami at "Parvathi", Mysore on April 23, 1986.
Please welcome @ TVS1986"Parvathi"

Lovely concert, TVS in his prime - the mid 1980s, used to love to attend TVS concerts with MSG, Sivaraman, VVS, TK Murthy, M. Chandrasekaran, Vellore. TVS with Lalgudi is a rarity.
Wonderful Sruti aligned , powerful , clean voice without contortions. There were expectations, that TVS was going to be the next GNB of that generation. As Srini_Pichumani had mentioned in another thread, Maharajapuram Viswanatha Iyer, and later GNB reminded the rasikas of Madurai Pushpavanam Iyer (Chittappa of Madurai Mani Iyer).

thank u cpblog especially the mohanam , the swara medlay exchange of open throated tvs and lalgudi sir is just brilliant. THe rock solid support of sarvalaghu badran with a minimalist tapping of Bangalore venkatram is very nice
