Lyrics of Nandakumara Navaneetha Chora

Post by vidsrox »

Dear Rasikas,

This a request for a non-carnatic song. It is a devotional song (on Lord Krishna) called "Nandakumara Navaneetha Chora Taamara Kanna Sreehare....". It has been sung by Smt. S. Janaki in Malayalam and Tamil (I am not sure if she has sung it in any other language). While the Malayalam version is available on youtube and other music websites, I am unable to find the Tamil version.

This is the version of the Malayalam version (sung by Chitra i think)....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03E1N3DCuH8

Does anyone have the link to the Tamil version and the Tamil lyrics to this song....It is in the same tune as that of the Malayalam version. The Tamil version talks about Krishna killing his uncle Kamsa, saving Draupadi from her Vastra Haran, eating mud and showing his mother the universe when she asked him to open his mouth....It is a beautiful song and I am unable to find the recording and lyrics. Someone please help me with this...

Please mail me at [email protected]

Warm regards,
Vidya

Some corrections:
in C1 - uDiyiLai doesn't make sense - tuDi iDai gOpiyar - 'slender-waisted' gOpis
in C2 - vAsudEvan is kRshna himself - his father is vasudEvan
in C2, the last line is missing a word (a verb to be exact) - the line as such makes no sense.

I agree in muralidhAri, tuDi iDai and vasudEvar.

Pls correct me if i am wrong...

C1: kArmugil...sounds more like kArmugil sounds more like karumughil
C1: kaLaindanai ...sounds more like kaLainda (can't hear the nai part)
C2: Jagattor...sounds more like jabipom enrum ...(will daily chant your name kind of word....isn't it)?

Lakshman Sir, Shankar Sir, Please tell me if i am wrong...

Thank you Shankar Sir for your contribution too :)

Warm regards,
Vidya
