Can we meet on a SAT or SUN, preferably in a place, centrally located? After time, day, date and venue is confirmed, we can invite forunite rasikas in other locations to join us, if they have plans to be at Bengaluru and are free to attend.

Thanks Sirs. RSachi talked to me and confirmed participation. He has taken pro active initiative of taking the consent of Sri R.V.Raghavendra, Ananya to offer the auditorium for the meet, which is centrally located at Malleshwaram. He has suggested AUGUST, a Sunday morning, subject to availability confirmation of RVR Sir. Both of us are of the opinion that this meet 2014 should be a memorable, constructive and contributing. It is needless to mention that without the full participation of all the Bengaluru forunites, with few exceptions, meet can not match the expectations mentioned above.
I suggest that meet should be consisting of:
1. Informal meeting of rasikas over coffee/tea and biscuits (Digestive!) -8.00 - 8.30 a.m.
2. Sri RVR to address and talk about ' Rasikas activism to support and contribute for the success of events, targeting students and young rasikas' - 8.40 - 9.00 a.m.
3. Veena concert by Vid.Bhagyalashmi Chandrasekar accompanied by Vid.Cheluvaraju on Mridangam. - 9.10 to 9.40 Hours.
BREAK for Break Fast -9 .45 - 10.15 Hours.
4. 'AMS Easy Methods' - Lecture and Demonstration by Sangita Kala Acharya Akella Mallikarjuna Sharma and students. - 10.20 - 11.30 Hours.
5. Concert by a young & exceptionally talented team of artists-Vocal or Instrumental - 11.40 - 12.30 Hours.
6. 'Open House' discussion on 'ideas' of rasikas with Sangita Kala Archarya Neela Rama Goapal, Sangita Kala Archarya Akella Sharma and Sri RVR on
the panel - 12.35 - 13.15 Hours.
LUNCH - 13.30 - 14.00 Hours.
We should invite special guests Mysore V.Subramanya, Smt.Deepa Ganesh, Smt.Madhavi Ramkumar and Smt.Ranjani Govind.
I shall discuss with Sri RVR about the funds required for this event management. Bengaluru forunites to get a sponsor(s) and patron(s) for this event, including contribution by forunites.
I now look forward to confirmation of participation from forunites and also suggestions to make the event a memorable ' Rasikas Meet-2014'

I was glad that Dr Raghavendra was forthcoming about holding it in Ananya. The date remains to be settled based on availability of the hall.

I do believe what you have proposed is an extremely heavy fare both on the stomach and the mind. I feel we should have just one music session about 1 hour, a general discussion for about 1 hour, and just one session for snacks. This itself will take from 9:30- 12:30

Anything heavier or longer will see a reluctance among weaklings like me!

With confirmation of kvchellappa, Ceinu, Ranganayaki, RSachi and hnbraghavan for participation and including me, we are FIVE, if lucky, SIX. It can not be termed as 'Bengaluru Rasikas Meet 2014. I am requesting once again all the other forunites to confirm, quickly.
I desired that 'Bengaluru Rasikas Meet' from this year, 2014 should be 'memorable, constructive and contributing' and Event with Excellence. An opportunity to demonstrate our deep appreciation and commitment. Please rethink on your investment of One day and resources for this celebration, heralding celebrations, every year, in the future. I desire that the event management must be lead by young members in Bengaluru forunites and totally supported by senior citizen, like me.
If participation is not full, with few exceptions, this meet may be either dropped or taken up later.

Nagasvara Vidwans not getting any kind of support, truly deserve our support. Why not a short duration concert opportunity to a upcoming and deserving Nagasvaram Vidwan & Team's concert?
RSachi, Subject to the availability and acceptance of Akella Sharma Sir, His presentation as a Lecture-Demonstration is likely to be planned and also a brief talk by Shri RVR and panelists/guest(s), shall we avoid a separate Lecture?
To support Veena concert appreciation by more number of rasikas, I got an innovative idea to be introduced in our Rasikas Meet-2014. Why not try a Vocal accompaniment to Veena?. We are all aware that there is a tradition of Veena/Violinist artist to Vocalise, a select lines or sangati, briefly to highlight . If this experiment turns out worthy, similar Vocal accompaniment to other instrumentals also can be tried. To succeed, selection of Vocalist with high skills in both the pure notes and gamakam singing and follow the principles of following and accompaniment principles, strictly. It will open up a new chapter in performance/cutcheri padhati and worthy addition to Tradition.
The desire is to present this in our Rasikas Meet-2014, let us keep it confidential until such time, the Meet is finalized and we make notification. We need to discuss this in confidence with the selected artists for their acceptance and presentation.

After confirmation, we have to finalize the program. We should discuss with Sri RVR for the reservation of the auditorium and get the precise idea of event cost. Get the sponsor/patron for the event. Finalize the program and seek acceptance of artists, panelists and special guests. On their acceptance, present the program and the budget to the sponsor/patron and arrange for the resources. Seek media coverage of the event-print and visual, through the good office of RVR and our own contacts. If the event has to happen in August'14, we can not afford further delay.

Vid Akella - does he live here? What about logistics, any remuneration ? I am not comfortable unless someone bells the cat.
Please discuss with RVR as he may suggest some artiste (local) too.
I propose we take a cover charge if Rs 100 from each attendee for snacks and incidentals.

Let us have only informal meeting and not 'Bengaluru Rasikas Meet-2014'. Let us decide which Sunday in the month of July/Aug and also the venue suitable for this private meeting. I once again requesting the other Bengaluru forunites to confirm their participation, at the earliest.
Let this meeting be 'Arattai Arangam' on contemporary music scenerio only.
