LILTING MOHANAM BY SRI M.S.GOPALAKRISHNAN

Dear Rasikas,
Sri Vasanthakokilam is frequently referring to the krithi "Bhavanutha " in mohanam ragam played by
Sri MSG and wanted to see in you tube.
I am not having the video of the same.
However, I am having an excellent audio of the same song.
This was played by Sri MSG on a concert tour of the USA in 1975 at Seattle.
He is an artist who can conjure many varied forms of any ragam and this mohanam ragam is one such.
Excellent accompaniment by Sri Trichy Sankaran is also special.
In the beginning of the song, you can here Sri Trichy Sankaran plays the song itself in the mrudamgam.

Thanks Sri. Nageswaran. The song play is wonderful and so is the very beginning.. MSG plays this universal scale with just that little bit of Indian-ness, if I may. A friend of mine is well versed with the scale from the Chinese perspective, I am thinking of asking him to listen to the first 30 seconds of this and see if he can reproduce that on his Ukelele. That will be fun.
