Cienu: Best wishes to Aishwarya--I am so happy that she is so enthusiastic about singing--normally progeny of celebrities avoid pursuing music altogether for fear of not being able to meet unreasonably rising expectations!! From the concerts I have heard live as well as the ones posted on the internet, she has captured the essence of Patti/Amma--the devotional aspect,the sruthi suddham,avoiding the "excesses" simple because the voice is capable and above all the Bhavyam and sincerity that was the hallmark of Patti and Amma.

You deserve no less credit for preserving the great legacy!!

May God give your family health and happiness in your cultural pursuits.Please give my regards to your Mom. My Mom will be turning 95 this September as Patti would have been 98(their birthdays are a week apart in September!!)

There is a picture of Chinani Mami and Patti in the drawing room which Amma sees every morning before starting her pooja! Mami is indeed her third mother.
