Ravi,
gamaka is the art form. gamaki is the vidvAn or vidushi performing the art of gamaka

I must add that I had the privilege of listening to Sri Raghavendra Rao's performances. Also, his many interactions with my Father - they had known each other since their youth in Mysore. They had also collaborated on many projects.

Another thing I was happy to see in the invitation was the name of another gamaki Sri B S S Kaushik. He must be in his late 80s or 90s now. I have seen him in interactions with my Father at home and I have listened to his performances also during the 1970s.
