Here you go - a seemingly simple, but very profound composition....nice scope for sancAris

pallavi
enna sholli azhaittAl varuvAyO eLiyEn enranai inidu ATkoLLa

In response to which (enna) (of your names) I use/utter (Solli) to call/invite you (azhaittAl), will you come (varuvAyO) to admit me (enRanai/endanai), a destitute (eLiyEn), into your divine grace (ATkoLLa) [1]?

anupallavi
pannaga shayanA parama dayAkarA padam paNindEn sadgati peravE nAn (enna sholli…)

Supremely (parama) compassionate one (dayAkarA) who reclines (SayanA) on a snake (pannaga), I (nAn) bowed down/worshipped (paNindEn) at your feet (padam) to attain/obtain (peRavE) deliverance from future births (sat-gati – sadgati), (what name do I have to use to invite you…?)

caraNam
abhayamenra karikkudaviya nAmamO AraNangin mAnam kAttadOr nAmamO
aran manattiDai sadA japittiDum nAmamO avaniyOr uraiyttiDum Ayiram nAmattil (enna sholli…)

Is the name (nAmamO) I have to use:
1) the one that helped (udaviya) the elephant (karikku) [2] that cried out for protection (abhayam enRa) [3]?
OR
2) the one that protected (kattadOr) the honor (mAnam) of that woman (AraNangin) [4]?
OR
3) the one that Siva (aran) constantly (sadA) chants (japittiDum) in (iDai) his mind (mana[du]) [5]?
(Pray tell me), of the 1000 (Ayiram) names (nAmattil) [6] that people on this earth (avaniyOr) chant (uRaittiDum), (in response to which name I use to call you, will you come to admit me to your divine grace?)

FOOTNOTES
[1] ATkoLLa literally can also mean to ‘rule over’
[2] Refers to the gajEndra mOksham episode – and name used was ‘AdimUla’
[3] abhayam literally refers to the state without fear – and that state is typically achieved when one is under the protection of the Lord
[4] Refers to draupadi mAnasamrakshaNam – and the name she used was ‘kRshNA’
[5] Refers to the name ‘rAma’
[6] Refers to the vishNu sahasranAma

What a lovely song and translation. Did not Draupadi call out "Achyuta" and "Govinda" too?

You are correct, but as the reference was to one (Or) nAmam, I went with kRshNA. :)
Thank you!
