Dear friend,

Sri Abhishek Raghuram is truely a jewel in the crown of carnatic music. Listening to him one knows he is truely a blessing to the field of music. His music reverberates with brigas, akkarams and pure classism. The manner in which he handles both the ragas and the kritis is unique and with deep understanding and respect for the emotion and meaning ingrained in the words. For a lay person, even if he/she doesn’t know the meaning of the words, the sheer way it is sung gives a feeling of what is intended by the composer. Sri. Abhishek’s sincere effort to give his 100%, is worthy of appreciation. Abhishek started with the beautiful varnam in Begada and took up ragas like Devagandhari, Dhanyasi, Vagadheeshwari and sang each piece to perfection. Mysore Srikanth on the violin played fabulously and matched all the difficult sangathis sung by Sri. Abhishek. Tumkur Sri.Ravi Shankar on the mridangam and Sri.Sundar Kumar on the Khanjira played with great enthusiasm and ease and ensured that they added a lot of value to the concert. On the whole it was an outstanding concert.

Abhishek concert was one of the best of concerts in Unnati this year. The 1.5 hours RTP was the highlight of the concert.
