Nice. This should provide the platform for compositions that are not usually heard in concerts. (And a tasteful and poetic title!)

Rendering of Lalgudi's composition - Kandan seyalantro...(Natakurinji)....by his disciples - Sankari Krishnan, Vidya Subramanian and two others was excellent. Hope there will be participation by other disciples in the future episodes.

The program is about...
The contribution of composers such as Oothukadu Venkatakavi, Muthu Tandavar, Arunachala Kavirayar, Gopalakrishna Bharati and Papanasam Sivan, to Carnatic music, is unparalleled.
On Saturday, DD Podhigai channel launched a new series, titled Isai Therin Vadam Pithithor, on Tamil composers of Carnatic music that will be telecast on Saturdays from 6 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.
The 13-part series will also feature Periyasami Thooran, Tanjore Quartet, Suddhananda Bharati, Ambujam Krishna, M.M. Dandapani Desikar, Maarimuthappillai, Ramalinga Swamigal, Arunagirinaathar, Mayuram Viswanatha Sastri, Kavimani Desika Vinayagampillai, Kavichakravarthy Kambar, Kavikunjara Bharathi and Kalki Krishnamurthy.
Conceived and produced by Vasumathi Rajan, the series will feature bytes from scholars, biographers, Sabha secretaries, film producers, descendents of composers and their students.
“The first two episodes are about Lalgudi Jayaraman, whose birth anniversary falls on September 17. He has composed hundreds of thillanas and songs for dance performances. We start with contemporary composers and then move on to the older ones,” says Ms. Rajan.

Looks like a promising series. Really look forward to seeing all the episodes.
TKB,
As VK says, quite a surprise to see you co-present the program. Haven't seen you last season, and this is a nice way to meet you!
I like the less hoopla, more sensible style of the presentation here, sounding natural and informative. Great to see and hear about the Lalgudi tradition and segments of the master and the off springs. I liked the background of the KGS premises being used for many shots. The set was simple enough, no unnecessary frills, but perhaps can have a little more cheer. The lamp in front of the presenters looked a bit odd to me.
Will follow this series with interest!
