10. Composition in Tilang by Subrahmanya Bharathi
11. Jagadodharana in Kapi
12. Tillana of Dr. MBK
13. Mangalam

The audience in Charlotte were treated to simply superb performance :ymapplause: by this Trio for 3.5 hrs. As you can see the concert has everything in it including the most notable fact that she has covered almost all the composers including the contemporary ones. It is rare to find such a variety in concerts. The RTP was simply majestic with Smt. VS and Ranjani alternating and in VS going back in the same order before winding down with Vasantha. The pallavi meaning was interesting with the stress on "Nagare Nivasantham and Nagareni Vasantham". The concert as one would expect from Dr. SMt. VS is of highest classical quality and Smt. Ranjani on violin and Sri Balaji have provided great accompaniment to make it memorable evening for everyone.

Very nice Vidhusi VS - nice to occasionally go away from big 5 gana ragas- I am assuming vasanta pallavi is also indicating saketa nagara (tiruvarur)

Lakshman, Yes, it should have been song 9.

It continues like Vedam Solla venda, Anudinam Rama bhajana...

#5 Bhaktim Dehi: Yes, the sentence is incomplete. Since both the nouns Nivasantham & Ramam are in DwithiyA vibhakthi, the reviewer forgot to mention the verb like bhajAmi , namAmi, bhajarE etc. that the artist could have used.

Sundara Rajan and Bhaktim Dehi,
I have checked with VS and confirmed that the lyrics I wrote here are indeed correct. Nothing is missed out:-)

The pallavi as given translates to "அயோத்தியில் வசிப்பவனை , ஸாம்ராஜ்யத்தை தருபவன் ராமனை " only and there is no predicate to complete the sentence. The artist herself could have left out the verb unintentionally or unknowingly. I have noticed that many carnatic singers do come up with pallavi lines that are incomplete and/or make no sense.

Hamirkalyani: I guess you are not familiar with Tamil script. The sanskrit nouns SAkEtanagarE nivasantham and samrAjya pradam Ramam are both in the objective case ( TO Rama who lives in Ayodhya and who gives sAmrAjya -----?? )) and hence should be followed by a verb as predicate in order to form a complete sentence. Hope this helps.
