Re: MUSIC IN DREAMS
Hi Rasikas,
I woke up today to the melody of the song malare in darbari kannada. Yesterday I had a lot on my mind and was awake way up in the night. The sweetness of the raga made me feel better today. I will hear some sahana, desh, abheri, and kannada today.
Hope all of you are dreaming music....

I've heard that most songs by Fever Ray were written "in limbo", although that's probably a myth... Anyways, in my case I often hear some fancy tunes while sleeping but I can never recollect them after the awakening

Re: MUSIC IN DREAMS
Is it ok to resuscitate this thread after quite a while? I just stumbled over this and thought I'd share.
I am reminded of the only dream in my memory in which I heard music. The dream occurred when I was about 10 years old. I was at one of the gates of the Open Air Theater(OAT) in IIT Madras, the main one opposite the screen. There is a projector room above the entry walkway and Lalgudi Jayaraman was practising there with someone. As I stood and watched they slowly disappeared or went away but I could hear the music. Someone came in and shot me. I felt the pain in my chest and I lay on the ground with my eyes closed and wondered if I was dead. But I could hear the music and I realized that if I could hear it, I was still alive and I got up, feeling perfectly fine and not scared or relieved. It was daylight in the dream, and I still remember it vividly, especially the bright day light, the empty gallery, the rather bare room, the white (white-washed) walls and grey concrete floor.
.
I wish I had more musical dreams.. but I've had many dreams where I spoke perfect Sanskrit.

Re: MUSIC IN DREAMS
Day dreamers visualize and accomplish what they aim for; I do not know if night dreamers accomplish what they dream. Good topic; I like doctors from all fields of science may like to contribute here.
