Gayatri Girish Vocal Madhuradhwani' Second day's concert

It is always delight for me to attend Smt. Gayathri Girish’s concert and it was double delight for me when the venue happens to be my favourite Arkay Convention Centre where the ambience adds value to the concert. It was pleasure attending along with Shri Arkay Ramakrishnan Sir and Shri Vedanth Ramanujam Sir.
The occasion happens to be the second anniversary of Madhuradhwani celebrations.
She started her concert with a varnam in Andolika – Needayaradha composed by GNB
The most inspiring one was Mahakavi Subramaniya Bharathi’s composition Sagavaram Arulvai – wherein Mahakavi praying to Lord Rama for “No death Boon” – Had Lord Rama heard this voice Bharathi would not have left us at the young age. Heart touching singing by GAyathri Grirish.
The next lovely number was on Shakthi Amba Neelayadaksh in Neeambari – a devine rendering
The main krithi of the evening was “kaligiyunTEgadaa in Keeravani”

GAyathri Girish impeccable diction and the way in which she was singing even a child a easily find the raga in no seconds – ( an young rasika –less than 10 years probably – kept on identifying the ragas the moment she started the alapana.
With class Violin from …Shri M R Gopinath Violin, Shri Melakaveri Balaji Mridnagam.and Shri Chandrasekara Sharma in Ghatam. The “Thani” was really pleasing. The concert was undoubtedly enjoyable

I has a bad internet situation so watched only a segment of the webcast (after the torrential Blr rains for two days ~8 cm rain). I felt her voice wasn't at its best. But she got into the zone with Nilambari. Her swaras for Mandari were brilliant. Her Keeravani was exquisite..

I like how she sings the entire line (bAgugA shrI raghurAmuni padamula bhakti jEsina rIti tyAgarAjuniki ippuDu) for neraval just like TNS.
