Braving the viral infection I went ahead to this since I never
miss a chance to listen to RKM. He sung admirably well in
Bharat Sangeet Utsav previous day (neraval in kalyani was excellent
in that concert). Another lovely concert with 'Sri mAthrubhootham'
rendered beautifully brief alapana and neraval at 'vAsu dEva
mahitaM'. Main Kalyani was grand (after his last month's 'KamalAmbAm
bhajare'at Kanchi mutt) with neraval 'SreekaruDagu thyaagaraaja karaarchitha'.

No one walked out when the tAni started speaks volume of the laya
vidwans merit. Only hitch the tani was too long (nearly 45 mins) which denied
couple of tukkadas

HKV's brilliance came in kalyani krithi both in alapana and swara returns.

What next? Wait to listen to RKM again at Nadasurabhi on 13th and at Gayana Samaja on 22nd if things go well.

Yes. Many concerts this month for Ramakrishnanmurthy this month in Bangalore. Most welcome. The long tani could also be because Suswaralaya is primarily a mridangam based institute headed by Sri.Sudhindra and Sri.Raja Rao is also his guru. The ugly tradition of people walking out in droves at the commencement of tani is sharply coming down, at least in Bangalore. Also, in Suswaralaya concerts there are people who come exclusively to listen to Sri.Raja Rao's tani- students of Sudhindra. Was there also a speech by Sri.Raja Rao?

I attended the first day in the series- T.V.Ramprasad.

No even today walking out during Tani is very much there. Again sharp 8pm most of the people walk out and making the auditorium empty

Dear KSSR,

Nadasurabhi programs are well arranged and the venue is excellent.I have attended many programs earlier.I am a life member since 2006 or so.The only deterrent is the commuting problem from R R Nagar to Koramangala.I hope to attend at least a couple of programs.
