Out of the hundreds of Rasikas we have had and still have there are only a few members who occasionally read ( probably around 200 hundred ?) and around 100 I guess who could be contributing with posts, and out of these hundred it could be 40 who regularly contribute and still dwindled to 7 or 8 who now are fighting for an identity.
If it is just for the 7 or 8 of us we do not even need a lapel pin but can confirm a date and time within this post and meet for a coffee or rather call up.
My doubt is, how many are even aware of this lapel pin proposal. I am sure many would have overlooked this topic as another wishy washy rehash thread on some not so interesting Musicians life. How many people could even understand the terms insignia , lapel pin,( except the super intellectual group of we rasikas
Rsachi, I imagine as much that even a green dot on a white background is enough for us if it is just we chosen few
Knowing each other will definitely reinvigorate our Rasikas.org and gives more comfort while writing and subsequently there would be more rasikas by word of mouth contributing to more musical insights and experience which is the prime purpose of the forum I guess and the " insignia "(cannot we simplify this term - I have come across this word not more than 5 or 6 times in my entire life
My idea right away here :
Why don't we tweak the site to start like this ( Vasanthakokilam , it is your call now)
"Hello Rasikas it is time for us to identify ourselves."
But , some ghost writing rasikas could be nto comfortable with this .
Or to put it rather softly
" HELLO RASIKAS, IS IT NOT TIME FOR US TO SAY HELLO TO EACH OTHER?"
This may be pedestrian to some , but easy for most of the rasikas without the intimidating jargons.
After a few seconds of this flashing , it then takes to the site and the first thread again in multicolor with the same exact topic which further as post explains the whole purpose of this mini projects with a word from the moderator ideally.
This can draw the attention of group 2 that Rsachi was mentioning , which can further pave way for roping in group 3.
The floor now is open .
