Music in heaven: TMK, SS, RKS, KAR, NGP @BlrSU

This was an aerial view of the TMK & party from the upstairs Silver Pass Rs 300 seat at the poorly attended Bengaluru Sangeet Utsav at ISS. I was thinking this might be the way music sounds to God in heaven when we present it downstairs on stage.

They sang a lovely O Rangashayi with a variety of niraval positions pretty much from Kailash peak to the milky ocean and Vaikuntha to Bhuloka. The swaras were like climbing those mythical steps to Kailash. Krishna, Sangeetha and Shriram Kumar shared the honours equally in a very sedate rendering.
Then came Varali RTP. The pallavi line was as I caught it:
pArthadu manam mayangine, pavaim parvaiyyi. They sang swaras in different ragas - Kapi, Sankarabharanam, Mohana, Khamach, Nilambari, Dwijavanti etc. A very sedate affair again.
Then Baro Krishnaiyya. then a Marathi song, Dhava VibhO in Yamuna Kalyani.

The Tani between Arun Prakash and Guruprasad was also a sedate affair.

With more appearances together, Sangeetha and Krishna will move up in optimising the combined voices and manodharma. Best wishes.

Post-Edit : when I was in engg and MBA loong back, we had a golden rule. To do combined studies successfully, both guys had to be equally prepared and equally strong in the subject. Then it would be like a successful batting partnership like between Gilchrist and Hayden. Otherwise it would be a bit like a tail-ender giving Dravid company.

I have heard once live this pallavi the raga then was pantuvarali. THe pallavi line is pArthatum manam mayaNginEN pAvaiyiN pArvayai. The pallavi creator was K arunprakash. Tx for your review sachi.

Thanks Rajesh! (typo corrected, sorry) If one thing is worse than my spoken Tamil, it is my written Tamil!

Sachi,
That was Rajesh...:)

Rajesh,
The words are fine, but better still this way?: pArthadum manamayanginEn, pAvaiyin pArvaiyaip (pArthadum).

Isn't it Arun Prakash's pallavi line ?

Excellent metaphor, Sachi :) Works for so many different contexts.

The pallavi line could be "பார்த்ததும் மயங்கினேன் பாவையின் பார்வையில்",
similar to "அவள் அழகில் மயங்கினேன்" , "அவர் பேச்சில் மயங்கினேன்"
