Malladi Brothers - Sriram Prasad & Ravikumar (Vocal) at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mylapore Chennai.
S.Varadarajan –Violin
Sai Giridhar - Mrudangam
Udupi Sridhar Ghatam
--------------------------
Holiday Mylapore crowd literally pushed inside the hall to listen Malladi Brothers yet another seasons concert at Bhavan and they did not disappoint them as well.
Covering virtually the trinity composers to Bhadrachala Ramadas to Gopalakrishna Bharathi and finally Annamacharya and concluded with Poochi Srinivasa Iyengar in their two hours slot.
But the best piece was o jagadambA and the niraval("Rajamukhi ..saroja Nayana .....Kamakshm) was just superb. S. S.Varadarajan complement them with his fantastic creativity in his violin.
The songs covered by them:
1) tyAgarAja pAlayASu - gauLa - Adi
2) Nibhakti Bhagya,Jayamanohari,Rupaka
3) nannu brOvumani kalyaaNi caapu
4) o jagadambA. Anandabhairavi Adi
5) Santamu Leka,Sama,Adi,
6) Aadum Chidambaramo Behag Adi
6) eduTa nunnADu - bhujangiNi
7) Thillana in Poornachandrika

Actually, they used to sing Tamil songs, except that they hadn't figured out how certain consonants had to be softened in Tamil (Do you remember Ghantasala singing songs in Tamil movies? He never got the hang of it!) so the krithis didn't quite sound like Tamil.

Their diction has improved over the years.
