Great idea!
Waiting to see how it goes. If some prefer to watch TV at home, no big deal--the same happens in a big way in the city :)

The sea as the backdrop makes it even more inviting...

Its TMK's brainchild project, according to Times of India.

The package offered (by artists) would be 'lighter'.

Thanks to TMK for his idea and to the organizers who will run the show.

I hope the artist face away from the sea, while ganesh and kumaresh are only playing violin what will happen to unnikrishnan's throat when he sings 500 meters away from the sea. :-o

Just imagining if TMK will allow his child to marry any one from another caste, say a poor isai vellalar or a musician from one of the kuppams later on in life - for all his writing and support to them...

Sorry, Ramamantra :( The concerns of his family are none of our business--and our suppositions are out of bounds :(

As rasikas, our interests better be about him as a musician and the way he influences the CM scene, and nothing more...

Agree with Arasi and Suresh. The dignity of the forum is sacrosanct. TMK is a fine individual with firm conviction. To tread an uncharted path, maybe quixotic to some of us, needs courage. He has achieved a lot at a young age and is passionate about the music. We can't but wish him well in his personal life and in those of his dear ones, whatever choice they make being theirs. I feel there should be some censorship of such comments.

The hallmark of any ideology is how one incorporates it in personal life too. What did thyagarajar do? Or dikshitar or syama shastri? They followed every thing they preached in their personal lives too. That was how they gained such a lot of respect to the point of revering. So, I don't really know why it should appear as a crime to even express a thought on it.

sureshvv, sure, I also found a lot of your posts need to be down voted. Thanks for the reminder.

ramamantra... Your post was in poor taste. Please reflect instead of reacting. You are only making yourself look worse with your justifications.

I admit to having made posts in poor taste but that will not excuse you.

ramamantra..you are stretching it too far..

Even though I am a devote Hindu, it may be of surprise that in our family, we have welcomed a christian and a Muslim

and all of us are living happily..with out strain in relationship..My son in law is a christian and my sister's daughter in law is Muslim..

It all depends on the mind set..I do not see any thing wrong in it..

Ours is a real secular family...

None in our family spoke against it...

These issues are beyond the scope of this forum...
