Re: KFAC MEET
ENTRY IS FREE. LUNCH WILL BE SERVED AT 1.30PM. Kindly participate. It is a great effort to condense the aspirations of the Classical music community and present to the government. Today this community is greatly ignored- not intentionally-but due to want of information about this niche specialised group. It is time that the significant contribution of the Carnatic and hindusthani music practitioners, promoters and rasikas to the cultural landscape of the country gets a bit more of attention.

Re: KFAC MEET
I did attend the KFAC Meet and had submitted my ideas and suggestions for the growth and development of ICM and also well being of the artists, the agenda of the meet.
KFAC members and leaders were very sincere in organizing and conducting the meet. I am sad to report that 1. The Chief Guest, Secretary, Kannada Culture Department, Govt.of Karnataka failed to attend.2. Only few of the artists participated.3. All the select artists, who were invited to present their ideas, failed due to lack of serious preparation and not presenting their ideas/suggestions. 4. Time mismanagement.5. Lack of clarity and understanding on the very purpose of establishment of KFAC and the meet's goal and objective, by one of the invited speaker.
I shared my observation and disappointment with Sri Arvind Brahmacal, Secretary,KFAC. My request to KFAC is without commitment and dedication and confirmed participation, with confirmed serious preparation by the artists and other stake holders, do not plan any event.
KFAC treated all the participants of the meet with courtesy and with very good lunch. Media representatives also participated with enthusiasm.

. Sir, my disappointment and worry is not about the style, but importantly the 'intent' and 'content'. I earnestly suggest and request KFAC for a better event management-pre verification, authentication and approval of the content (advance written submission); clarity on the intent, to those who are in need; commitment; discipline and control on the time management; to achieve the goal and objective of the meet. Need of the times, is not holistic statements but firm plan, action plan and the achieving the goals, objectives and the resultant growth and development. To cite one example, from time immemorial, statements were made, reported and recorded on the issue of 'Introduction of Teaching of Classical Music-KM and HM' in schools and providing gainful employment to the trained teachers in schools and colleges'. The results are open secret. Each speaker has his / her own style and we respect that
