It was great that, especially in such a large, open venue, the sound was under proper control.

Besides Sumithra Vasudev - who are the other students from the Vedavalli school? Why Sumathi Krishnan does not give concerts? Am asking because i like this school bani very much and would like to see more representatives of the same in the concert circuits.

Ashwin Anand who plays the Veena is her disciple. Also, twins Archana and Arathi(?) are her students.

Sumathi Krishnan certainly does give concerts, and I am sure she would give more if she was given more to give. The same applies to Usha Padmanabhan. You can hear them both at the MA and at RS Hall, this month.

A couple more names are K Dharini and Rathipryia. Neither are new to the world, but both are new to me this month.

Swathi Ravichandran is Sumithra's student... The next generation.

SUSHSushruthi, Vedavalli's daughter, also performs, but not here this season.
