This concert was a very memorable one. As I was walking in he was talking about his greatest inspiration in life and his guru Smt MS Subhalakshmi and it being her 10th death anniversary and the concert was dedicated to her memory. No need to say that every single piece in the concert was immortalised by her voice. Starting with a fine rendition of the Natai Keerthanai he then played a soulful Bhairavi followed by Enati Nomuphalamu. He mesmerised the audience with his neraval and kalpanaswarams. Next came one of the most free flowing Yadhukulakambojis I have heard in recent times with melody oozing out of every phrase. Before the magnum opus Shankarabaranam he played Hiranmayeem in Lalitha and Vachamago which when sung by MS would be one of my ultimate salvation songs. I enjoy Arunprakashs accompaniment a lot and I had never heard him play for a violin solo so I was a little curious. He played really well with each song in spite of what appeared to be a broken leg because of which he had to keep his left leg down from the dias. KV Gopalakrishnan added a lot of depth to the concert and seemed to enjoy it on the whole. Hope to hear many more concerts like this one with heartfelt music.

Thanks for putting up this list. I was still jetlagged and unwell so had no notes as such. But it was such a delectable concert with perfect accompaniment to suit the ambience of the hall. I hope RKSK plays a solo every Season

MV I second your opinion. What was even more heartening to see was the number of younger generation stars who were at the concert like Ramakrishna Murthy, Ritvik Raja and Amritha Murali. Speaks of the respect that Sri RKSK commands from all age groups for his experience and vidhwath
