Brand Taglines and Carnatic Musicians

Post by Rajagopalan_V »

All, posted this on Facebook. Thought will open a thread here too in this informed group.

With the onset of Globalization and Corporatization of Carnatic Music, 'branding' becomes inevitable say 'industry'(?!) watchers'.

Therefore, if you were to associate certain brands/taglines with certain musicians - as they say, aligning the 'core values' of the brand with those the musicians seem to/are seen to personify, what would be your take?!

Disclaimer/Caveat - Just in jest this note is. We all know the sincerity, dedication and the hard work put in by the musicians in keeping this art form alive and flourishing it. So, please no offense meant to any Vidwan/Vidhushi. Only have immense respect for all.

Who would you associate with for each of the following taglines?

1. 'Experience Certainty' --

2. 'Speed Thrills' --

3. 'Open happiness' --

4. 'Think different' --

5. 'Just do it' --

6. 'Make believe' --

7. 'We deliver' --

8. 'I'm lovin it' --

Would be glad to hear the veteran Rasikas' choices for the above. Also, please feel free to add more taglines and connect them with apt choices. Thanks :-)

Interesting and imaginative categories-filled thread...
Yet, as the thread continues, something else emerges--Vedavalli will continue to be in the first category (and rightfully so). Still, we see that as the thread grows, each additional post tells us that the 'tastes differ' factor stays with us as we spell the names out :)
