Each reputation point -- and Rs 25 -- will get you a cup of coffee at the Music Academy canteen.HarishankarK wrote::namaste:

PS. I just gave you one for asking the question.

Re: Reputation Points
you have to make profoundly witty comments (or) threads (or) posts.
Ok , serious talk now - It is just something that goes by rasikas favor. No strict rules. you can arbitrarily give a point if you like, for whatever reason. The more points = the more you are liked. Just look at arasi's points , all should envy.
Arasi of points. tips please.
. If no tips, you can alternatively give a point for the forward enlightening I gave. ha ha .
But, I think demanding for a point deducts a point automatically. right?

Re: Reputation Points
Thanks for giving a point . and who has the highest point so far? Arasi. ?
I think Arasi is the biggest crowd puller of the Carnatic Rasikas Platform.

Tips?
Ask the point-givers, not me!
I know, I have been here for a long time, am long in the tooth and know a number of Rasikas.org members and, I'm a :-@ . Look at the number of my posts!
I haven't bothered to know how to give points--too much technology (ha!) tires me out. Instead, I appreciate them in words :-@ !
Of course, I appreciate all the points, and most of them who give them are people whom I know personally. Now, ain't that nice

Re: Reputation Points
It's all in the way one looks upon things, this world and its inhabitants--the way we share things among friends, and in the process, develop a sense of comradeship. Many on Rasikas.org are names I know and connect with. Others are personal friends whose association I have cherished over the years. We have common interests, though we are diverse. Fellow rasikAs add interest and more meaning to my life, specially my musical life. To me, scratching each others back it is not, because I have gained knowledge about music by being part of this community.
Well, MAS (mutual admiration Society) is a result of our fellowship. To me, genuine interest in each other is the base of all this, and not mere flattery or shallow words which are meant as compliments

It is the post that earns points and so it is more about the content irrespective of who posts it.

Re: Reputation Points
Despite all these fine sentiments, I was thinking of requesting fellow forum-mites from adding to your reputation points once you reached 111 but before I could make that request, someone had given you one more taking it to 112.arasi wrote:It's all in the way one looks upon things, this world and its inhabitants--the way we share things among friends, and in the process, develop a sense of comradeship.
