Getting the message in ahead of everyone else - Part IV

Post by harimau »

Today's Deccan Chronicle has a photo of our own Nick in animated conversation with Suguna Varadachari after her Academy concert.

What the heck, Nick wears a veshti and gets his photograph taken and published in the newspaper. I wear the non-indigenous trousers and I don't get my picture published.

No fair! :((

Nick,
How suave, scarf and all! A happy picture :)

Harimau,
They have taken many pictures of you, take heart. Only thing is, your figure takes flight and evaporates from the frame--so persistent your anonymity is :(

Nick: Wonderful picture. You have always been a bit of a media darling. I think the same paper carried a piece on you last year as well.

Arasi: How diplomatique of you ;) They should let you negotiate with Raul and Fidel!

Gosh, off course I didn't know about her birthday! I was mentioning that I had read an article, from a link on this site, about how her journey in music had, in the earlier days, been nothing but struggle.

The lady on my right in the pic is, albeit of Indian parents, more of a Londoner than I am!. Maybe if I wear a beautiful sari they will stop photographing me ;)

(She is one of Suguna's students, staying here for a couple off weeks)

They might have done an article on me, but I put them off, saying that I'm not a "foreign visitor" but a full-timer.

It's only two pics, so far... I don't think that qualified as media darling. Wait till it gets a bit more regular and I start getting "chief guest" invitations! :))
