I have not heard R suryaprakash sir live concert at all and he does not sing at bengaluru at all. HIs ideas were flowing and 2 hour time went with no boredom. poorvikalyani krithi had gopalakrishna mudra . suddha dhanyasi krithi was new with brikhas.madurai mani style was very enjoyable in bhairavi koluvai with lot of sowkhyam . My dad who has heard madurai mani live enjoyed it more and he went very nostalgic . lalitha RTP and bhairavi was PURELY music .

Nagai sriram had nice flow and no scratchy tone - his pallavi play was excellent.Easwaran sir was fantastic and did not hit the mridanga . The important thing was r suryaprakash sir could do every thing within stipulated time. Best concert for me so far

True. Suryaprakash packed a substantial and sprightly concert in a hemmed-in concert. PukkA vAdyams 'singing'--veteran MAE on the mrudangam, Nagai Jr on the violin and Venkataramani on the Khanjira. Lalitha was just the right rAgA to essay as RTP in a non-nirvana concert.

The 'new' song was by this old lady. Vidushi Neela Ramgopal has sung it in my CD Volume:2. The words go like this: vandE thuNai thandE enaik kAkkum kandanE.

@ckavita - Suryaprakash had performed at Indira Nagar Sangeetha Sabha, Bangalore in November guess you might have missed another lovely concert it was.

Sri.Suryaprakash seems to be making headlines these days. Lalitha RTP is a courageous take. I love that ragam. I thought that the best of it will come out with the leisurely Nannu brovu lalithe of Shyama sastri with the lady Lalitha gently swaying in her own beautiful melancholy. Someday I will get to listen to such a rendition. I heard his youtube recording of Jaya TV MMU?? There was a swaraprastharam where the beginning went completely off the mark which was later brought back nicely and ended with standard Sri.TVS sequences. Overall good and bold.

Interestingly we recently heard another Lalitha and Vasantha mix RTP in Bangalore. The pallavi portion was a bhel puri with dozens of other ragas. No one knew where madam lalitha was. Unfortunately musical skills sometimes sweep away beauty.

Bangalore sabhas like to repeat the same artists year after year.R Surya prakash performed once at Sriram Lalita Kala Mandira in Banashankari about 5 years back.Sriram Lalita Kala Mandir conducts Spring festival at Bangalore in Feb each year and they believe in giving chance to the same people.On top of the list are Bombay Jayashree,Ranjani gayatri,sanjay Subramanyam,TM Krishna
I strongly urge Sri KSS RaghaVAN TO INCLUDE Sri Surya Prakash in the next festival.
