I read the following in Kalki and feel happy to share with forumites.
Sathya played piano with Embar Kannan (Violin) in Brahma Gana Sabha on Dec 8.Mr.Sumanth of SRESHTA Real Estates and Mr.Kishore of Musie Musicals who attended the concert got very much impressed with Sathya’s dexterity and imagination. They asked whether Sathya is daily practising piano to which Sathya replied that he was playing after 15 years. After that Sumanth sent one brand new piano costing more than Rs. 3 lakh to Sathya. Sathya said that Sumanth also is a very good piano artist and he had learned piano along with AR.Rahman.
Sathya’s dad asked him- You got Sai Baba’s dollar in 2004. You got a gift of piano in 2014. What you will do in 2024? Sathya replied. God should bless me to help at least ten persons.
His sadhakam, manodharmam, humanitarian nature and belief in God at this young age is highly appreciable. All the best to Sathya for a bright future. Congrats to tkb also.

Very good news, CRama! Satya is such a gifted artiste. I have been to his concerts a couple of times some years ago.
During the season, I met TKB and his wife ouside Raga Sudha hall one evening and asked how Satya was, not realizing that the sweet looking bearded young man who was standing there near the front door was Satya!

Listening to Indian ragas cascading in delightful cadences from a grand piano in a large hall... What an experience! I have had a couple of such experiences and cherish the memories.
The young man is worth watching - have heard good reports from connoisseurs.
I feel the grand piano is one instrument that needs no percussion accompaniment! It somehow sounds complete.
