VGV,
i know how sensitive you're about these things but i can only quote two incidents from swami's life:
1. He was stopped before he could enter the garbagruha in Tirupathi. that time he sang a song seeking removal of cloaks in the heart and the screen tore vertically.
2. When he was in Srirangam he could not see the urchavar and suddenly a heavenly say descended on a Bhaktha who said " here is a person who is close to my heart; pave the way for him to see me!" He sang 'vinaradhana manavi'
swami always took all external things as lessons for cleansing himself. that is actually not cleansing himself but indicating to us what we have to do in such moments.

I can't believe such treasures from our musical past are being trampled upon like this.
Someone must be making a quick buck thru all this 'development' :(

If anyone tore down Shakespeare's 400+ yr-old house in Stratford upon Avon to build a modern monument the entire English-speaking (and perhaps others as well) world would be up in arms.
