You can add any of the ring tones to your mobile tones. Whenever you get an incoming call,
you can hear the chosen melodic tone.
If you are having a dual sim card, you can select a different melodic ring tones
to distinguish the calls from the dual numbers.
For your frequent callers, you can select different melodic ring tones from different callers
and you can easily recognize the particular caller.
I had set up the second part previously but now I have forgotten the set up of different caller melodic ring tones now.

Re: MELODIC MOBILE RING TONES
Thanks.. I always thought tAnam on violin or Veena will make a nice soothing ring tone. I was experimenting with a few.
Currently, I have settled on Gustav Mahler's Symphony #1 , Movement #3. But as you said, we can set one for 'family', one for friends and another for 'office'

Re: MELODIC MOBILE RING TONES
With most phones, if not all but the most basic, these days, one can use any MP3 file as a ringtone. One just needs a little editing to cut it down to size.
My current call ring tone is a short thiermanam played on the morsing by... me.
My sms ring tones are all bird songs. I have some lovely song from English robins and blackbirds, but am currently using something captured at the Kuala Lumpar bird park!

Re: MELODIC MOBILE RING TONES
trying to pick brains
which track would be most suitable for "missed call girakee callers " ?
for the benefit of nick , the term is for guys who make short missed calls .So that you end up calling back and hence ,spend for it.I AM BLESSED WITH QUITE A FEW OF THEM,FOR FRIENDS.

I will give my choices later

Re: MELODIC MOBILE RING TONES
I have never got into this Indian missed-call culture, except maybe for pre-arranged signals like "I'm outside with the car."
As far as I'm concerned, if someone actually wants to speak to me, they will call me again.
Yes, you'd be right to say I don't have much of telephone social life. I don't mind that
