As part of a cultural presentation during the recent visit of PM Modi to Mongolia. Song (female vocal with string accompaniments), almost resembling raga brindavana saranga (from 4:03 to 7:50 min).

A charming clip from the windy (my! will her garment's flapping fold get caught in the violin's bow, I was afraid). A one of a kind scene. Her gurgling gamakams and the da da da-s (am I conditioned?) only could bring home mOhanam to me.

The high(est?) heels--with all so ethnic an outfit was amusing. Yet, a scene and sound which captures our hearts...

I could hear mix of Bridavana sarangi and shudda pantuvarali but this is very interesting Jayan. Which country was this?

She didn't seem to touch a ga at all. I heard only the notes of Madhyamavati.

VKR, what is shudda pantuvarali? I have not come across that name so far and can't find anything when I search.

In both snippets, I find myself hearing different ragas, not the ones you mention.. In the first it was Madhyamavati, and in the second, it was Shuddha Dhanyasi.. but I think it is a question of your reference note, the sa and where you locate it. All these ragas are related through grihabhedam - Mohanam, MMVT, shuddha saveri (I think) and shuddha dhanyasi.

Can some one enlighten in mangolian music terms how do they describe these variations in tunes.

As best of my knowledge its absolute madhyMavathi. Kaishiki nishada is prominent.
