A "PERFECT" CONCERT ACCORDING TO ME-----VKV

I was lucky to listen to what I consider a perfect concert in the last quarter century recently. I am referring to the ARTERY WEB RELAY OF CONCERT BY:
k.n.sahikiran & genesh-CARNATICA BROS(Vocal) DR.M.NARADHA(Violin)Kum. Satya Ramesh(Mridangam),B.S.Purushothaman(Kanjira).
It is equal to the BEST CONCERTS I have heard in the GOLDEN ERA of CM. (1949-1975)
SRI. Narasimhan has been unique in producing& training STRICTLY PRODIGIES & with Muktha amma supplementing in this case the TECHNICAL& MUSIC LEVEL was EXTRA-ORDINARILY HIGH.The abililty to handle PERFECTLY SUBHA PANTHUVARALI(AN ACID TEST as their rendering REACHED THE HEIGHTS OF ARI, MMI ETC, SAVERI (GNB'S BEST!-SHYAMA SASTRY'S brilliant composition as well as Koteeswara IYER (S.Rajam. T.S.Kalyanaraman) WAS AN EYE OPENER TO ME. I have always admired the bros. for their innovative approach but the perfect diction, tempo, Nidhanam and creativity created the BEST OF THE CONTEMPLATIVE CREATIVITY OF THAT ERA WITHOUT ANY GIMMICKS OR LOUD DECIBEL LEVELS . PURE MUSIC AT ITS BEST!.
Dr.M.NARMADHA IS THE WORTHY DISCIPLE OF THE ONE&ONLY MSG &her accompaniment: Not only the PURE SOUND but the MUSICALITY was of a very high order was very exciting&enthralling.
B.S.Purushothaman has continued to fulfil & excel his promise we have seen from the day he appeared on the stage.
KUM.Satya Ramesh CLEARLY SHOWED PERFECTION in NADHAM, Sarvalaghu as well as PROVING DECIBEL LEVEL PRODUCTION is not GOOD MRIDANGAM PLAYING. A REFRESHING CONTRAST in producing NADHAM at its best as Vellore Ramabhadran showed as NADHABHADRAN! PERFECT SOUND PRODUCTION WITH CLEAN SOUNDS & TONAL QUALITY ....
On the whole it took me back to the old Golden AGE MUSIC CONCERTS where PURE SOUND & MUSIC with UNDERSTANDING OF THE GREAT COMPOSITIONS as well as COMPOSERS WITH co-operation was the KEY TO GREAT CONCERTS. CONGRAGULATIONS TO THE WHOLE TEAM. KNS ENCOURAGED ALL THE ARTISTS ( ala MMI) OPENLY. A DIVINE EXPERIENCE.
I URGE EVERYONE to listen to this concert & write their reactions. VKV

SHE is the daughter of Ramesh Srinivasan, one of 120 students in his school in the Bay AREA (San Jose); He is one of MANY in N.A. who are mightily contributing to the propagation of our music.....May the tribe increase....VKV

"Sathya has been learning mridangam for the past 6+ years at Sarvalaghu Percussion Art Center. from her father Sri Ramesh Srinivasan, who is the prime disciple of Mridangam Maestro Sangeetha Kalanidhi Vellore G.Ramabhadran.

"She has been part of taalavaadya programs conducted by the school for last few years including performances at the Cleveland Tyagaraja Festival in 2013 and 2014. She was also selected to be part of the 'Sustaining Sampradaya' program "Tribute to Sri Lalgudi Jayaraman" a full-fledged concert at Cleveland festival in 2014, where she provided mridangam accompaniment. She has also joined her father on concert stage providing double mridangam support.

"Additionally Sathya learns carnatic vocal music from Sri Paduka Academy (Sri Hari Devanath/Sri Vivek Sundararaman) as well as Violin from Sri Saravanapriyan Sriraman. She enjoys reading, plays flute in school band and tennis. Sathya is in 8th grade at Quimby oak Middle school."
