I think the point with a TMK-performance experience is that if one is able to take each individual piece (be it a kRti, or just an AlApana, etc.) by itself, with no connection to the one before, or the one after, with no expectation of a pre-conceived order, then one can appreciate the intense classicism with which it is rendered, with utmost fidelity to the music and the composition.
On the other hand, if one goes for a traditional concert experience - an experience that has been trained (Pavlovian perhaps) to expect a certain progression and a ceratin order to the progression, then what he dishes out may well seem to be the offerings of a mind with ADHD, with flights of ideas, and a very disorderly presentation.
