I have never seen unnati concert in odukathur this full.
That too people stayed till the end.

Interesting to see Ananthakrishnan on mridangam. Thought he was for Abhishek alone. Hope he could adapt his normal hard hitting style to the melody of Jayashree.

Ananthakrishnan is one of the most talented mridangists around. The patterns he weaves are all from the raghu school and he obviously has improvised being adept at playing other percussion instruments and exposure to other varieties of music. I have not found him to be hard hitting, like some other seniors who think that's the way to stamp their authority! But he does play differently for Abhishek because the music gives him scope to do whatever!

Have heard Anantha accompany RKM and Charumathi Raghuraman. He is ALWAYS excellent without any excesses. He also never fusses about the mike.
