kalyAni (vAsudEvayani raga sketch, ns@rAgatAla), bEgada (vandE dEvadEva), nArAyanagowlai (kadalEvAdu r), jyOtiswarupini (gAna amudha pAnam, raga sketch), kAmbhOji (mAjAnaki s), nAyaki (ranganAyakam, r), nalinakAnti (manavyAlakincharAdatE, s), thOdi (srI krishnam bhaja, rnst), slOkam & srikAntha enagistu (yadhukulakAmbhOji, hamIrkalyAni, Ahiri, darbAri kAnadA?), thiruppugazh (thullumada vEtkai).

A wholesome, solid concert with couple of MMI school big, weigthy items (kalyAni & kAmbhOji) & couple of his own stamp. I doubt if MMI school is that well known for nArAyanagowlai or this particular thOdi song. I thought it would be thAyE yasOdhA.

First ever time listening to a nArayanagowlai alapanai; felt it was sAmA/dwijAvanthi-ish. Is that a reasonable vicinity to be in?

Sankark,
Thanks for the clip too (at the moment, I'm occupied and do not have much time, so I have only listened to his kAmboji so far).

From minute one in his concerts, Suryaprakash's voice sounds clear as a bell. How much we take this gift of a voice for granted!

The rAga AlApanA was sung with beautiful nidAnam, his taking the time to savor and to share his delving into the rAgA with us. No rush, no looking ahead to the next exposition...this musical mood stayed with him and it was a treat.

sankar,
The slokham yogandreenAm he ended with bhaGeshri and then segued to srikantha enagistu in bhAgeshri. I dont think there was any darbAri kAnada in slokham. Quite a lot of heavy carnatic ragas in this concert with early near submain (kalyani ),submain(kambhodhi) and todi(main) with begada and narayanagowali and nayaki. I personally liked that nalinakanthi fast filler - lovely swara pattern in one BIG GO -on spot manodharmam and kAmbOdhi -mA janaki which I always like -those two were the best to me .

Sri krishnam bhaja manasa is a semmangudi masterpiece- i dont think mmi-tvs have sung it. suryaprakash has 3 gurus who have learnt from semmangudi . Though the branding is mmi school there is also ssi school influence which many forget. Narayanagowlai- kadela vaadu is a chitoor subramania pilai speciality. I am not sure apart from madurai somu if it is in circulation. I think narayanagowlai is indeed in the zone of what you described, I have struggled to identify it from kedaragowlai when I listened to for the first time- but of late I am indeed getting narayanagowlai distinctly.
