3 Minutes standing ovation at the end of the concert and few shouts of 'Best this September' from the audience
sums up what happend 3 hours there. Spellbound.

Look at the accompaniants and every one of them complimenting each other raised the bar of this concert to a different level.


Still gripping with my health I pushed myself hard because of RKM. While after the concert went to meet him he almost hugged
me thanking for making it.


The chaya tarangini has set the ball rolling right earnestly with his customary express kalpana swaras. The laya vidwans peaking
early setting tone for what is in stock for the day. Reethi Gowla alapana was good. The melodic, meditative Chaturdasa ragamalika
drew roaring recognition from the audience. Bahudari was a quick filler.

Super sAveri alapana by RKM and Raghavendra Rao, let me say later about him, gave wonderful return. The neraval was exemplary from
RKM.

tAni from Patri & Karthick 20 minutes was super. The applause took sometime to die down. One of the best in recent times I have heard
without too much of noise.

He started mA ramanan from anupallavi. It was 8.40 and I was wondering will there be a rtp? He did brief alapana of kApi. Slight hope
he might do a short rtp and once violin return he did a detailed kApi alapana again.

Here Raghavendra Rao hijacked it right away from RKM. What a wondeful bowing from this seasoned man. He is very underrated according me.
He literally took away the filter kAPi and branded & patented it. What happend next 20 minutes was just to experience. Fabulous !!

RKM did a brief tAnamAlika in varali (couldnt find another one) and in swara raga malika brilliant Sindhu bhairavi. He mentioned
the pallavi is set by R K Shriram Kumar.

I understand the Virutham is on Vaidheeswaran Koil. Need to get more information from RKM.


This is not going to sink for quite sometime.

Patri and RKM - haven't heard yet !! must have been great concert, such impressive list... I always see KVN in RKM.... full of bhavam and sowkhyam....

how was neraval singing ?

neraval was too good. and as you are right full bhavam and sowkyam. he glides between lower and upper octaves at ease.
