Anything said of Neela Mami (Sangita Kala Acharya Neela Ramgopal) is insufficient - that she is amongst the greatest musicians and amongst the greatest Guru is a given ..... Neela Mami is the most outstanding human being I have met - she inspires and touches everyone within seconds of meeting with her - she is an epitome of positivity and cheer, she is the nicest and most affectionate person one can ever meet - one can go on.......

And hence.... sincere kudos to Smt Harini Raghavan for penning a Biography on Neela Mami which we understand is going to be released on November 8th, Sunday at 10 AM culminating with Nadasurabhi awarding her the Title "Sangita Surabhi"; we understand her concert is to follow the award function.



Also thought it pertinent to mention that Neela Mami presents the following Lecdem at Gayana Samaja (as part of their Annual Conference - the details are as foll:
Oct 29, Thursday at 10 AM - Neela Mami presents a Lecdem on "Neraval in Pallavis..."


PS: Can't resist adding this - in August Neela Mami sang at Naada Inbam Chennai - (at 80-plus without vocal support) - it was a most most amazing concert (thanks to Parivadini we could hear it live, being hundreds of miles away from Chennai) - and the Whatsapp msg's raving about the concert, would not stop - the best amongst them being "Neela Mami sang like an 18 year old girl!!!"

My 'so young' friend, a treasury of music, is being recognized even more at this 'young' age, thanks to folks who appreciate all her merits.

Thanks to Harini Raghavan for her efforts in writing a biography about her. Can't wait to get a copy of it.
