Parlandu Award and Parivadini Series 2015

With great pleasure we announce the Fernandes (Parlandu) Award of Excellence to Veena Maker Mr. Raju of Bangalore. Incidentally, he was featured a few days back in the Bangalore edition of the Hindu. (http://www.thehindu.com/features/friday ... 846707.ece)

This year we feature several instrumental concerts and lecdems.

The share for instrumental music is on the down side, we hope we will start a change by dedicating this year concerts exclusively for instrumental music.


Most of the good lecdems make you long for more. Partly the reason being the timing is restricted to an hour and that too featured in the morning. This year we feature lecdems at the so called "Prime Time" with no limit on time. We have a covered a wide range of topics with an intent of educating the common rasikas to appreciate our music better.

We are Happy to inform the Vid. Padmavathy Ananthagopalan has agreed to preside to Parlandu Award function and felicitate the Veena maker Mr. Raju on 29th Morning. The award function will be followed by a concert of Injikudi Subramaniam (Nagaswaram) - as mentioned above.

Thank you all for supporting us and helping us make this event happen. Special thanks to Varuna who ignored predictions for most of the week. There was one lec dem that had to be cancelled due to rain. We will try and have it soon. Thanks once again for the support.
