The highlight of evening with packed crowd was

The special feature of the concert was the experimental timings i.e.5 to 7.30 by Shri Vedanth Ramanujam so that the rasikas stay for the full concert met with huge success and an overwhelming rasikas present (fully packed auditorium) till the end.

Great to hear about such a wonderful and successful, well attended, concert, by a highly accomplished musician. In one swell swoop it has swept away all the naysayers of CM and their fears about its dwindling popularity.

All the best to Sri Vedant Ramanujam in his new venture and the experimental timings. I could not attend because of ill health. Very glad to note that the hall was full for a 5PM concert on a working day. Not a very common thing though. There was the threat of rain also. Still her concert has drawn packed house. Very good beginning for PARAMPARA as well all good wishes for Gayathri Girish for the upcoming season.

IIRC,I think I first heard this krithi from rita rajan and then once by suryaprakash- both were lovely. I remember once there is a review where we had TNS or TNS krishna was mentioned by a reviewer . Certainly there is an added extra majesty of devagandhari in this krithi , this is a true beauty of sadguru , i like it .

The special feature of the concert was the experimental timings i.e.5 to 7.30 .

GG is lucky to have the timing- perhaps this experiment is one time affair. From today i see in the same hall(looking at the hindu itenary) there is a 4:15 pm and 6:30 pm slot, one artist gets an extra slot today. Certainly a very ideal time as beyond 8 pm it is risky with bladder burst with extra showers.
