Recently came across Annayai Maravenadi, a Varnam that glorifies parenthood.
Eager to know if there are other krithis, varnams etc. It can also be the ones that specifically do not refer to any particular deity, but addressing them as mother or father. Even semi-classical tamizh movie songs are welcome.
I am not referring to the krithis that address a specific God as amma or appa here. e.g thaye yashodha.. etc..

Is it for a dance program with a theme? When in another thread they are discussing if lyrics can be done away with, even lesser composers like me are wondering...

"Thaayillaamal Naan Illai". From the theme and music, I would think that this is from a MGR movie.
About 20 years ago, there was this movie The Bear about a bear cub who is orphaned when his mother is shot dead by a hunter and how it grows up without maternal guidance. I felt if they could have inserted this song as the mother bear lies dead and the cub wanders away, it would have have infused much-needed sentimentality in the film and it would have run for 100 days in Tamil Nadu theatres.
