Karnataka Fine Arts Council is conducting Kalabhiyana 2015. The report has been published in the Hindu.

Arvind Brahmakal and Team KFAC deserve rasikas high praise and gratitude for this great initiative. I am privy to the deep disappointment of many great maestros/maestros/Vidwans/Vidushees based in the State of Karnataka who are denied opportunities to perform in Dec/Jan Music Festival at Chennai. Karnataka practitioners great contributions do not get the well deserved recognition. This great initiative will bring about the change, in the near future.

I wish Kalabhiyana programs also include Lecture-Demonstrations by great scholars. I also wish arrangement has been done for webcasting live.
I also wish KFAC institutes 'Life Time Achievement Award'. I suggest to arrange Karnataka catering partner offering specialty food of various regions of Karnataka.

Whenever local persons are performing,there is a thin attendance.This is the case even very great musicians like Rudrapatnam Bros perform,people do not turn up.In fact local musicians are featured in Chennai Music festival - M s sheela has academy slot in the morning.
