Two interesting things happened during the concert:
Sanjay, normally, takes neraval in any one of his songs. Though it is not a crime, if missed, but Sanjay is very particular in this. In this concert, he somehow missed it till the main kriti. He started kAmbodhi kriti and started neraval in “aduttu vanda enai….”. He started that and somehow felt not necessary, may be thinking of RTP. So, he did not give return neraval to HNB and closed it. So, “nervaless” concert.
Second, while finishing SMM rAgam, he finished using the song “ta gi da dha du mi tantAnA”, a famous first line song in salangai oli, a kamal film.
A solid 3 hours 10 minutes concert.
Hamsadhwani was not my “favourite” RTP rAgam-that also from Sanjay. His Pallavi line of tirukkuRal was also not in line with my expectation. It is like a school teaching the students.
I entered during the second song. Yessel helped me to fill in the blanks.
Overall a good concert.
HNB is everywhere in this season which shows he is one of the top 5 violinst today. Great playing.
Mridhangam & Ghatam- were good. Above my expectation

Patttamma,
You meant to say *secular RTP, I imagine
Otherwise, poor rAmA, krishNA and naTarAjA might wonder...
As for vaLLuvar, he spoke about godliness and good deeds like no other.
* applying to any God of our choice.
