What are these shlokas?

Post by laya2 »

Hi

Can somebody tell me what are the shlokas that are presented here after Dhyana Shlokam. It would be very helpful if somebody can also tell me the meaning. I know the meaning for Dhyana shlokam. I don't know what the other shlokas are.

Hi

The meaning of this shloka is:

Bharatha Kula bhagya kalike, Bhava rasananda parinathakare
Jagatheka mohanakale, Jeya Jeya rangadhi devathe devi
(Thou, the good fortune of Bharatha’s descendants. Thou, from whom emanates bhave, rasa and ananda. Thou, the fascinating enchantress of the whole world. Glory to Thee. Divine Goddess. Glory to Thee.)

This is the meaning that I got from the net.

I seek your help to let me know what exactly do we mean by this. I am trying to choreograph dance for this piece. Without proper understanding I would find it difficult to do anything. Does Bharatha's descendants literally means Sage Bharatha or can somebody tell me the actual meaning of the shloka.

Thank you.
