This is the first time, this hall is full- said the gentleman, sitting at the counter. The concerts, here, start at 7 PM . I was wondering whether they can have the concerts at 6.3o PM as rasikas, mostly coming from far off places could feel comfortable.

Despite Sanjay pleading to close at 9.35 PM, citing the next day concert. Somone yelled- “Tunbam nErgayil”…. Sanjay …. “Oh aduvA”- then he started singing…. That is Sanjay. An out and out rasikA’s artist.

I left after this.
Whether it is NGS, MA & Tamil IS, today’s PSS concert already sold out. - Sanjay is a real crowd puller. Each and every kriti, Varadharajan’s shadow return was a real treat.
Arukkum adangAtha nEEli- He screamed nEEEli….. I was wondering whether any “mAntrEEkam” was happening at the stage.
Some how, tani- Mridhangam sound was not pleasing. It was overall a good all round performance.

Speaking of Sanjay's fans--it's worth mentioning Aravindan Mudaliar's tamizh reviews in this tamizhisai thread. Those of you who can read tamizh, need to read his riveting reviews in Face Book. His unique style of writing, his ardor, descriptive style and humor are one of a kind (and also a formidable challenge for translators).
They are embroidered with rich imagery and allusions.

The set of fans he is part of, reminds me of the Canterbury Tales pilgrims. A group of different personalities who have come together because of their common interest of listening to Sanjay. Their caring and sharing for each other is something ...

Now, waiting for the Tamizisai Sangam review from Aravinda Mudaliar...
