Did the season seem a bit toned down to any of you? No BJ, SR, TMK, the floods, the flight cancellations by NRIs .... Without looking at the stats, this review forum did seem to have fewer concert reviews and less to-and-fro? Of course, just not having TMK concerts by itself seems to reduce the output (and volume ) by half! Some new sabhas seem to have sprouted up too - and there seem to be more and more NRI-focused festivals?

It was inevitably toned down for the flood-affected. Some artists had to cancel, and audience numbers must have suffered.

However, I would say yes: The concert listings in The Hindu might not even have reached full-page, which they certainly did last year, and am I right in thinking that there was not so much concert coverage in that paper?

actually many artists cancelled their concerts as they were affected physically and/or mentally. many organizations had to cancel/reschedule their concerts due to all kinds of reasons.

the hindu had not brought their usual season supplements.


still, the show went on. the concerts and programs went on. thats were the spirit lives.
