Num TV and December Season Concerts

I live in North America and have never tried the Num TV Web Service which telecasts over the Internet some kutcheris from the December Season.

Reading all the Kutcheri Reviews of the Season on this site makes me want to sign up for this service.

Can someone who has had this service let me know if it is good and what is provided. - How many concerts etc.

Also has anyone started viewing the 2006 concerts on Num TV yet?

Yes I had subscribed the last two years. And they have been pretty good. You can watch the program live first and then they are put up as archives. The archives are available to you for another two weeks or so if I remember correctly. The first year program was very good where they had long concerts that ran for 3 hours. But last year most of the programs shown by them seemed to be short and incomplete. Of course, the video is not of very high quality! but the audio is pretty decent which is what is required. Of course, needless to say that you need to have broadband connection with good speed to view them. I just saw that they are starting this year from Dec. 18th onwards

I subscribed last year and could only see a few concerts. I couldn't find concerts of any top artists except Vijay Siva and Aruna Sairam. If I remember right, a lot of artists did not allow video recording of concerts.

SS Music tv channel has started telecast of 30-minute highlights from last month's Bharat Sangeet Utsav of Carnatica. Daily 8 am (IST) from today until 30th.
