M.S.Subbalakshmi centenary celebration functions on 15.01.2016.

This is the first concert that I have attended during the December music season 2015 due to my
Indifferent health conditions.

Sri VK Viswanathan’s introductory speech and the customary comments from the chief guest’s speech by Dr. Badrinath, Cleveland Sundaram, we had a concert of Miss Ayswarya, the great grand daughter of MSS for 90 minutes. Ayswarya sang many krithis sung by the legend MS Amma [ I have not noted down the song list since the programme was telecast live by the Parivadhini team].
The concert provided a serene atmosphere.
Then, a violin solo concert was held by Dr. Narmada,the torch bearer of the Parur School for another 90 minutes.
Dr. Narmada played some famous krithis sung by MSS and for about 30 minutes the famous Hindustani bhajans sung by MSS Amma were played. This was the highlight of the concert and she was accompanied by the Mrudangam and tabla. The concert planning by Dr.Narmada showed her thoughtful planning of the concert.

Mr. Nick attended the concert for a while.

The entire function was conducted in an excellent manner by Sri VK Viswanathan who had a very close association with MSS and Sadasivam.
