Melanam : New Album

My son Sundar has directed the album 'Melanam' sung by Maharajapuram Ganesh Viswanathan .

Very nice, Sri Sivaramakrishnan. Didn't your son also compose the title tune in atana for Parivadini (with swara poruttham) from a couple of years ago?

Sundar came up with several wonderful tunes for Parivadini. We had a tough time choosing from it. Finally we freezed the tune Atana because of the wonderful swaraksharam.

Dear friends, Sundar sincerely welcomes your 'close remarks' on the background music he has infused in the melanam album. He says his inspiration has been violin maestro VS Narasimhan's the 'Madras string quartette' featuring select carnatic kritis.

(I also take this nice opportunity to humbly boast that the voice in the Parivadini signature tune is mine!!)
