(Two 'Modi songs reminded me of his criticism of a programme in which Modi was made a theme).

Bring back the micless performance of 30s-40s; let us make the audience number limited, let the audience and artists/pakka vaadyam sit in close proximity; wow!!!!

A full concert (video) with H K Venkatraman, Manoj Siva and Anirudh uploaded recently in youtube. A fabulous Dwijavanti, Denuka (Thanam and theliyaleru rama) and Hamsadhwani (vathapi ganapathim) spanning over hour and a half. Fabulous concert and manoj siva playing the mridangam is stupendous.

मौलौ maulau comes from मौलि mauli meaning head or crest. "maulau ga~ngA" means Ganga adorns Shiva's crest.

Then how we will get to appreciate new shlokas. TMK has been in the industry for more than 20 years. He could include some more shlokas in his concerts. Just a suggestion.

SSI has sung many slokas in his concerts which were mesmerising. Apart from Maolau Ganga, he has sung Sringaram- Navarasa slokam from Rama Karnamritam, Kodanda Deekshakuram aprameyam, Kailasasailabhuvane, Susnigdham neelakesam, Neelabja bhringa sadrusam etc. His sojourn into ragas Bilahari, MMG, Varali, Kapi, Nadanamakriya etc. were ecstatic.

Alas,Carnatic music has been reduced to an industry. Started out as Bhakti sangeetham, then the creativity and now this.

I withdraw the word industry from my statement. I have the greatest regard for our carnatic music. I'd rather say that TMK has been performing carnatic music for over 20 years.

Industry also means a profession. In tamizh, tozhil. Vocation. sangIthath thuRai means the field of music.

Industries of course means manufacturing.

.
Yes, I mean't in this way only. But since I realized that it can be mis-interpreted, I withdrew the word.
