Is there a rule that a chitthappa should not write about his nephew? how is it favouritism? Is there something the chitthappa achieved by writing it? Or, is publishing the article favouritism? If so, that is for The Hindu. If one does not like, one does not like. It does not make those who like it irrational. (I was not too enthused by it and it is also a wrong representation of Sanjay. I have not heard him talk boastingly. I agree it is not interesting). There are some 3 or 4 'rasikas' that think they are the ultimate in 'rasikatva' and they can label those that may appreciate the music of Sanjay. Good 'rasikatvam'!

it is just a light-hearted imaginary conversation. Folks, don't over analyze. Read, enjoy ( or not ) and let go.

Sri.Suresh Subrahmanyan is an established humour column writer in the Hindu and Deccan Herald for many years. Hindu, I am sure, will not decide the eligibility of his articles to be published on the popularity or otherwise of his nephew. Although it is understandable for Carnatic Rasikas to base their appreciation of Sri.Suresh's articles, on their admiration or dislike of Sanjay's music, I would like the articles to be evaluated on their merits alone. Try the one attached. I found it really humorous.
